Nestlé has announced that Sanjay Bahadur, its Executive Vice President and Head of Group Strategy & Business Development, will retire at the end of December 2025, capping a remarkable career spanning more than four decades.

During his tenure at Nestlé, Bahadur held significant leadership roles across India, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Türkiye, and China, contributing to the company’s global growth and strategy. In his current role, he has overseen a broad portfolio of responsibilities — including portfolio management, mergers & acquisitions, venture investments, external partnerships, and licensing agreements.

Nestlé CEO Philipp Navratil expressed deep gratitude for Bahadur’s service: “On behalf of everyone at the company … we wish him all the best for this next chapter.” Nestlé has also revealed that, after Bahadur’s retirement, the M&A function will transition to report to CFO Anna Manz.
Bahadur’s retirement marks the end of an era for Nestlé’s strategic leadership, as he has been a steady hand behind the company’s long-term M&A strategy and external growth initiatives. Over his 40+ years, he earned a reputation for integrity, humility, and a collaborative approach — qualities that have helped shape Nestlé’s global footprint.
As the company looks ahead, Nestlé will be considering how to fill the strategic void left by Bahadur. His departure represents a key leadership change at a time when the food giant continues to evolve its portfolio for new-market opportunities and external partnerships.
